Privacy Policy

Baby Log Cloud is built and run by a single independent developer, not a company with a data business. This page explains, plainly, what the app collects, why, who it's shared with, and how to get it deleted.
Who this policy covers
Baby Log Cloud (“the app,” “we”) is a baby-tracking app available on the web at agumagu.com and as a native Android app. This policy applies to both. The account holder is always an adult parent or caregiver — the app is used by a parent about their baby, not by the baby, and is not directed at children as an audience.
What we collect
| Category | What | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Email address (registered accounts) or an anonymous device identity (guest use) | Sign-in, account recovery, and letting you invite a co-parent by email |
| Logged data | Whatever you choose to log: feeds, sleep, diapers, weight/length, vaccinations, milestones, notes, and any photos or files you attach. A baby's name is optional and user-chosen — you can use a placeholder name instead (we suggest “Baby X”) and the app works identically either way. | The core purpose of the app — this is your data, for you |
| App usage & device | Anonymous interaction events (which buttons are tapped, save success/failure reasons), install-attribution parameters (UTM/ad-click IDs), and, on Android, a device-integrity signal from Google Play Integrity used to confirm requests come from a genuine, unmodified install of the app (App Check) | Understanding app usage in aggregate, and blocking abusive/automated traffic to our backend |
We never analyze, sell, or use your baby's logged data (feeds, sleep, notes, photos, etc.) to train AI models. It is stored for you and only accessed by you and anyone you explicitly invite to co-parent.
Who we share it with
We don't sell data or run ads targeted on it. A few service providers process data on our behalf, strictly to run the app:
- Google Firebase / Google Cloud — hosting, authentication, database (Firestore), file storage, and the backend function that powers the optional AI co-pilot.
- Google Analytics & Google Ads — standard product analytics and ad-conversion tracking, on app usage only, never on your baby's logged data.
- Google Gemini and/or OpenAI — only if you turn on the optional AI co-pilot (off by default). Your 7-day log is anonymized (no name, no account identifiers) before being sent, purely to generate that session's insight; it is not used to train these providers' models.
Device attestation (App Check)
To stop scripted/bot traffic from hitting our backend directly (bypassing the app), both clients attach a device-attestation token to backend requests: Google Play Integrity on Android, reCAPTCHA Enterprise on the web. These tokens confirm the request came from a genuine copy of the app running on a real device/browser — they don't identify you personally beyond what your account already does, and they're not shared with anyone outside Google's attestation services and our own backend.
How long we keep it, and how to delete it
Logged data is kept for as long as your account and baby profile exist. You control deletion directly, no request or waiting period needed:
- Export any time. Download all your logs as a CSV from Settings.
- Delete permanently. Settings → delete a baby profile (type-to-confirm) removes that profile and every log, photo, and file associated with it, immediately and irreversibly, from our database and storage.
- Delete your account. Contact us (below) and we'll remove your account and any remaining data.
Security
All traffic between the app and our backend is encrypted in transit (TLS). Access to a baby's data is enforced server-side (Firestore/Storage security rules) — only the profile's owner and explicitly invited collaborators can read or write it. On Android, the app disables cloud backup of its local data, blocks screenshots/screen-recording of in-app screens, and ships with code shrinking enabled in release builds.
Children's privacy
Baby Log Cloud is not directed at children and is not intended to be used by them — the account holder is always an adult. We don't knowingly collect information directly from a child. Everything logged about a baby is entered by their parent/caregiver, who controls it and can delete it at any time as described above.
Your choices
- The AI co-pilot is off by default — you opt in from the home screen, and can turn it off again at any time.
- You can use a placeholder name for your baby instead of their real name.
- You can export or permanently delete your data at any time from Settings.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a material way, we'll update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
